RWE puts Stirling Energy Module (SEM) into operation
BINGEN (September 22, 2005) --- On the Occasion of the 8. Energy day of Rhineland-Palatinate the first Stirling Energy Module (SEM) was successfully put into operation in Germany. The RWE-daughter VSE AG with domicile in Saarbrücken operates the unit in close co-operation with the University of Applied Sciences of Bingen. The co-operation between Stirling Systems Ltd. and VSE AG is set to last at least until the planned market launch in 2008.
According to Dr. Georg Müller, Managing Director of VSE AG, the RWE group attributes to the Stirling technology of Stirling Systems a high relevance for a secure, decentralized, highly efficient and environment-friendly energy supply in the single-family house market.
