Spin-off of SIG

NEUHAUSEN AM RHEINFALL (April 04, 2004) --- As a consequence of its new strategy focusing onto the packaging business, SIG Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft spins-off its combined heat and power (CHP) division into the newly founded Stirling Systems Ltd.

During the last 10 years SIG has developed a heat and power (CHP) unit which will allow the decentralized production of heat and electricity out of virtually any kind of combustibles. The respective prototypes have successfully passed extensive laboratory tests, so that field tests may be started in 2005.
